Why is that when I create a new topic, it slowly dies down? I wish I had the gift that some you have which allows the topic to go in to full flame fest. Like a clockwork, all you have to do is to look at the author of the topic and you know instantly if you need to grab popcorn or not. I start a topic which I think is interesting but you guys just give up on me. Is there something that I can do to wind up you guys?

Endorce Mobil 1
Talk about M1 and iron
Flame PP or PU
Run thick motor oil

Those will most likely cause a ruckus.

Here let me help you. Just mention Kreen or MMO. Or something like __________ is the best oil money can buy. Or ___ is the worst when it comes to cleaning an engine. The words thick and thin are good for starting an epic thread too.

Then sit back

Put in the subject: "I've used Auto-RX and it works better than MMO and Kreen combined!". Then we can all get the popcorn and mega-Coke.

Provocative thread titles work well. You know what I'm talking about.

And Harbor Freight threads are generally good for a royal rumble.

The thing is some people can start a completely innocuous topic which have none of that characteristics and it still ends up in a huge fight and the topic gets locked. Unfortunately, I am denied that privilege :-(

I think I need to find somebody here on the forum, make him my mortal enemy and go relentlessly after him. Would it work?

Who would that be?

And we all know who'll be in those threads. LOL You could also change the wording to MMO and Kreen mopped the floor with _-__. LOL

I think I might have started WWIII just now..........

Awesome, then pull the stops out and let the name calling and mudslinging really begin!

Talk about thinking of buying a car you can't afford. Or you could afford it after your big yard sale.
Buy a car with an overdue timing belt and brag about your new stereo you put in, assembled by chinese laborers and sold at walmart.
Dispute statistics and anecdata in the gun section.
Make extravagant claims of mismatched 12 year old tires with wrong load ratings holding the road great at 100 MPH.
Scan owners manuals of worldwide cars from tropical places that recommend 20W50 oil.

Most topics will die down. Either it gets resolved, is stupid and falls flat, or just sinks lower because new topics come about and fewer and fewer are reading it. No big deal.

The short, sweet and to the point ones are often the best. Get what you need and get done. Dont need to be arguing with someone with questionable reading comprehension about something that isnt going to sway their POV anyway.

I nominate SS1970chrysler as a good potential arch-enemy.

My threads usually die a slow death also.

I was thinking of PMing GHT my question/comment and have him post it. He gets pages of responses!
