Spray lubricants getting too expensive. What are some alternatives?

I agree with the OP. The cost of anything in a spray can has gotten out of hand. I bought some ordinary spray paint the other day and it was $6.49 on sale. It wasn't long ago when it was $4.00

It’s crazy how fast some things ran up. I have gone back to an old school squirt can when it makes sense - you can put real oil in those (and leftovers) … and motor oil has not tracked this way …

When the can runs out of propellent but there is still plenty of the stuff l puncture the can and drain it into a small glass container and use it up by applying it with a small paint brush.

I love these trigger oilers (or are they called pistol?) Anyway they are great for most stuff. Not so great when you need to hit a distant target LOL
