Spotted Royal Purple at......Walmart!!!!!

Rancho Cucamonga, CA Walmart. Spotted Royal Purple 5w-30 and 10w-30 motor oil yesterday. Price?

$6.72 a quart

Not cheap enough for me to brave the world of synerlec!

Yea, I saw it also. "Everyday Low Price" of $6.70/qt.

Too rich for me.

I also saw Penz Plat for $18.60/5qt.

That's more my speed.

Saw it at my Walmart, only in the 5w-30 grade. Also 6.70 a quart. Seems like the Walmart oil section expands more and more by the month, any idea why?

If the oil section is expanding, it's because selling oil is profitable. Likely the cheapest oil prices in most areas and on good brands, too.

I wished they'd stock RP's spray lubricant; I read somewhere on the board that it was awesome, about the time I purchased the Mobil 1 spray lube (Which is d)))ned good.

I just spotted Royal Purple at one of my local Walmarts in Oregon. It was in 5w-30 and 10w-30 grades. I believe it was $6.9X/qt.

Nope. They'll just sell Royal Purple branded oil because it has a premium name.

Does it meet the same specs as other RP oils??? I doubt it.

Probably just a cheap oil rebranded as RP. Like Levi jeans they sell that are a lighter weight fabric not manufactured by Levi Strauss.

Walmart is just pulling another quick one.
