Here are some photos of my first time cleaning a Spinner 2(first time I’ve actually seen one).

I recently bought this truck and it hasn’t seen any PM work in years. I’m slowly working though it. I didn’t have the kit for it so I reused the O rings and didn’t worry about the little paper liner. According to the literature I saw it’s only to help clean it out faster. My solvent tank cleans it fine.

This truck also has the Spinner branded reusable spin on filters that I’ll post up in the coming days. I reinstalled regular old Mack filters.

Very nice work sir and info. Great quality pictures. I Thank You

For anyone wondering, here is what a “service kit” looks like. I’m not paying $16 for two O rings and a piece of paper. I will size the O rings and get some spares from my local hydraulic shop next time it’s apart. It’s really easy to teardown and reassemble.

Well there you go, our older Scania trucks use the same setup.

I read in the service information the layer of crud can be x amount thick before it requires service so I stopped doing them every year on lesser used trucks. Even on heavily used (by our standards) vehicles it would only get a couple mm thick after a year. We do use the paper insert just for the time it saves but couldn't tell you what ours cost.
