SP-only vs SN with a3/b4

Repsol Leader Neo 10w-30 is rated api SP only (no acea rating). hths is 2.9

Castrol Magnatec 10w-30. api SN, acea a3/b4 (hths at least 3.5)

which one is better (for engine longevity) in a non-turbo, non-DI engine? the Motor Oil Geek loves to talk about SP having less additive competition and thus better wear protection (or something like that).

The A3 Magnetec. HTHS trumps add chemistry moot arguments.

Plus maggy is magic! Wish we could still get it Stateside.

Magnatec is my favorite oil of all times. It is a fantastic oil, and I am yet to see an engine it does not perform like a champ, from track cars to towing trucks to short trip making passenger cars. After they discounted in the US I stocked as much as I sensibly expect to use before they got too old.
