This is also true, we buy regular lactose free skim milk for our dog and we buy regular organic skim milk for ourselves.
Both of them are good until and past the date on the container which is typically well over a month.
As a side note, as someone posted in here, you should not give milk to a cat. It’s a common misconception that milk is for cats.
