Societal addiction to phones

The wife (62) and I (69) have NEVER had smart phones. We have $35 flip phones that we use for ph calls and basic texts only. Our daughter while under our roof didn't have a smart phone.

For navigation we have 2 Garmin stand-alone GPS and I keep the databases updated thru a Garmin service.

We do have a wireless hotspot and laptops we can use if needed while traveling.

We are very aware of all the zombies :(

I find my tiny computer useful.

It’s a tool.

A gun is a tool. An axe. A kitchen shears.

Because someone owns a certain tool doesn’t throw them into a personality type.

Sitting on a plane. Listening to BOC. Posting on BITOG. Checking pre market quotes. Reading a book.

Yeah I’d rather be exercising!

Training the kids.
I see this at Costco frequently.
Toddlers and younger in the cart, their face attached to a device.
Not a good trend.
Parents today?
