Look like Brazil is in the easy half of the knock out stage, the only real thread to Brazil is Netherlands in the quarter and the potential semi-final Uruguay, look like Brazil should be in the final.
The other half has these teams: Argentina, Germany, England, Spain and Portugal. Any of these teams can be the final.

The French eliminated themselves with bad tactics suited to their fine talent, petty squabbling and internal strife--not unlike WWII...
The worst the French performed at a World Cup was 2002, they were defending champion but did not score a single goal. This year they scored 1 goal which is an improvement over their performance 8 years ago.
Both finalists of 2006 WC had been sent home after first round, the first in the history of WC dated back to 1930.
We will meet Ghana tomorrow at 2:30PM EDT which is 11:30AM Pacific, I think we have a very good chance to beat Ghana. From now on it is do or die game, no more play for a tie or for points.

South Korea was unlucky and lost 1:2 to Uruguay under rain soak game. USA will play in 1 hour and the weather is nice, the temperature will be in the high 50°F.
Dude I nearly freaked. Wife calls at 10:45, says she stuck at the Dr's office, needs me to take female dog to vet at 11:15. I screamed "NO WAY" "NOOOO WAAAAY". She hung up on me.

I was a bit depressed, this AM, but seems like the UK-Germany game woke me up. Wow what a game!
