My 2004 (new body style, not a heritage) just rolled over 100,000 miles. Going to drop all the fluids for a change out. It has the 4.6 V-8, 2 wheel drive short box regular cab. It is an XLT with all the popular options. Still runs, drives, just like a new one. Also going to do a complete tune up, and fuel filter. So tell me about your F-150. How many miles? What about your oci, and of course, what do you use for it's life blood?

Not an F-150, but the same chassis, so I'm going to chime in anyway

2002 Ford Expedition. 5.4L, 4R100 trans. 9.75" diff out back, 8.8" in the front. 3.55's in both pots.

Currently has 248,000Km on it and purrs like a kitten. Not even broken in yet.

Has some SOPUS synthetic 75w90 in the back, Castrol synthetic 75w90 in the front, Mobil ATF in the trans and AMSOIL 0w30 in the oil pan (with an EaO filter).

OCI is 10-12,000Km's.

2011 XLT Scab 4x4 5.0 24,000 miles. 5W-20 Kendall GT-1 semi-syn, Motorcraft filters. This truck has the IOLM so I'm running oil until it hits 10% life. That looks like about 10k miles. I do UOA faithfully and the wear so far is nothing.

This is my first new Ford and the wife and I both love it. It's quiet, rides better than most cars, gets 18 to 21 mpg, and if you push down on the throttle it flat rips.

My truck is a 2012 F150 with the 5.0 and 5300 miles. It's a super crew 2wd with the 5.5 foot bed. The first oil change was done with 4600 miles on it only because it had to go to the shop to have a warrenty repair done to the blower motor resistor. Motorcraft 5w20 and a Motorcraft filter was used.

We traded an 05 XLT Supercrew with the 4.6 in on a 2012 Fusion last month. It was traded with 115000 miles on it. It received 5000 miles OCIs with either Mobil 1 or Pennzoil Platinim 5w20 with either Motorcraft or Mobil oil filter, it would use about a half a quart between changes. The truck always had a low key vibration at idle, always bugged me, no codes though. Plugs were changed at 100,000 miles and it developed an intermittent tick after that. Didn't seem to effect performance though. We bought the truck used so I'm not sure how often the PO changed the fuel filter but I only changed it once at 85,000. The only other issue with this truck was a passenger caliper froze and soon after the bearing on that side.

Dark shadow grey metallic 2004 F-150 FX4 supercab 6.5ft bed, with the 5.4L 3V V8. The truck has 142,XXX miles on it and still runs like a champ.

I change the fuel filter annually as it's cheap and easy to do. I also change the transfer case fluid and do a pan drop on the transmission once a year, usually with Amsoil ATF but it will Royal Purple Max ATF for the next couple changes as I got a great deal on some this summer. Running Amsoil Severe Gear in both differentials, 75W-90 in the front and 75W-140 in the rear. Usually Pennzoil Platinum or Ultra 5W-20 in the engine with either a Motorcraft of Pureone filter.

Only things besides routine maintenance has been a fuel pump control module at around 115k and a new parking brake cable at a little over 100k.

Overall I couldn't ask for a better truck as it's still a blast to drive it every day, it does everything I need it to, and it's never let me down yet all while getting pretty decent gas mileage. I plan on getting at least 200,000 miles out of this truck.

Candy apple red 2010 F150 XLT 4x2 super crew cab, 5.5' bed and the 5.4L V8. So far I've added a SnugTop shell with the carpet kit, Tuffy Security Products lock box that goes under the rear seat, the Mag-Hytek rear axle cover, and soon a Performance Automatic pan and dip stick - it's on back order. I get about 20 mpg hand calculated when I keep my foot out of it, or 17 mpg with spirited driving. I've got 36k on it now.

Close? maybe? I hope no one was hurt.

Pretty close. Most people describe it at a cart wheel, not a roll.

No one was seriously hurt. I had seat belt bruises, my passenger had a broken wrist from the airbag.

1993 F-150 Lightning limited production, 5276 produced... Only engine for these was 351 with GT-40 intake, heads and headers, has 4.10 cogs out back std, Ford's huge E4OD automatic does the shifting... Also has bucket seats, console, P/S, p/B, A/C, cruse, sliding back window...

In the tests comparing the SS-454 Chevy P/U, the Lightning was within a eye blink as fast and in at least one test beat the SS...
