So some guy attempts to bash in my window...

It's delusional to believe that creating a few more laws will prevent people from breaking those laws.

Exactly. Laws are only for the law abiding. I doubt someone who's already breaking 13 laws will worry about a couple more

I have not read the entire thread, so if I'm re-stating something, forgive me. One thing I remember from my years in martial arts (I earned my black belt in TKD) is that if you have to fight two guys at the same time, try your best to keep bad guy #1 between you & bad guy #2. In sparring practice, this technique was actually a lot simpler than it sounds.

What's next? Mr Miyagi quips?

""Man walk on road. Walk left side, safe. Walk right side, safe. Walk down middle, sooner or later, get squished just like grape."

The starter of this thread should have immediately taken off in his vehicle when the guy started messing with him. He waited far too long to see what would happen.

Unfortunately, we now have among us a huge number of psychopathic personalities who consider the rest of us as nothing but prey. They have no morals, ethics, or conscience. They will attack, kill, rob, rape, etc. with no compunction or remorse. The only defense against them is to either: (1) get away from them as quickly as possible, if possible, or (2) meet them on their own terms and, as quickly as possible, before they can continue to carry out their attack against you, treat them like what they are, which is animals, and immediately disable or kill them.

If you wait and see with these people, you lose. They know, and respect, nothing but force. Either you take them out, or they will take you out.

These people are not like you and I. They are not reasoning human beings. In fact, they are just barely human beings. If you treat them like humans, you lose. You have to react to them as you would to a mad dog that attacks you. These people depend on your sense of humanity, and your reluctance to regress to your animal instincts and immediately fight back. If you are unwilling to cut loose and take them on in the sense of kill them or be killed, you need to get away from them as quickly as possible.

It is sad that our society has come to this point, but those of us who are treated as prey by these animals will continue to be preyed upon until we fight back. The guys who attacked the Arab terrorists on the 911 flight that crashed in Pennsylvania taught us that. We who are the prey are just as able to fight, and if necessary, kill, as those who prey upon us. It is long past the time that we did so.

Well, replier to the topic, thank you for your belated (it's been almost a year) criticism.

Maybe the "starter of the topic" thought that immediately running the red light at which he had stopped was a bigger risk to more people than waiting as long as possible. The "starter of the topic" didn't wait to see "what would happen," but he was waiting until he could safely get out of Dodge. Back up he could not, because there were cars right behind him. Cars were in the lanes to the left and right. The only way out was straight ahead, but the replier to the thread would know that, because he obviously was present at the time.

As for the creep, had he managed to break the window, he'd be 6 feet under now. My car's my castle.
