snow

I got a foot at my place. I also had a jury summons for today and it was canceled! We needed this snow so much. It's the driest I've ever seen it in Colorado. At one point last night, I measured one inch of accumulation in 10 minutes; 6 inch per hour snowfall rate.

I'll trade you folks a nasty climate with 10-month-long summers for a little winter. Not kidding. It was warm, wet, and sticky all the way through October, November, and December last year, and we've had only sporadic bursts of coll-to-cold ever since January 1. By the first of March it'll be be 75 F. or more all the time until December again. Gah.

A dry warmth is one thing. A heat where you feel as though you have warm slime under your clothes is another.

9" last Saturday
and are expecting 8-12 this Saturday.

Anyone see a pattern?

Montreal averages 86 inches every Winter.. not to brag or anything. Id much rather be down south in the warmth.. On Dec 27th we got 20 inches. You guys in Boston got hit hard!!

Yes: it's winter in the northern hemisphere and you live at a higher latitude.

Got about 13" here. It's the most in the past 2 seasons combined. Everything was closed: Walgreens, schools, churches, Universities, no mail, no trash pickup, city offices closed, etc.
