Lately I have been getting lots of silver quarters with change here and there. I guess pops is right: people are spending them and they are back in circulation. I personally hold onto them.
1964 and older quarters are 90% silver, same with dimes. Nickels from 1942-1945 are 35% silver.Aren't they one of the few coins with a real amount of Silver in them vs. A coating?

I've been pulling the copper pennies out and sticking them a bucket.Lucky I’ve been trying to find one I’ve found tons of silver dimes never a silver quarter though. Heck at McDonald’s I always get copper pennies and silver dimes never quarters. Even got a Mercury Dime the other day. You should send me one I’ll trade you some filters to cut open LOL.
I keep all nickels 1964 and back I’ve got a few war nickels too. I know they aren’t worth much but I’m a collector. And I keep all pennies 1982 and back. I wasn’t aware the price was rising maybe that’s why the price of copper anti seize went up to $15 a container lol.I've been pulling the copper pennies out and sticking them a bucket.
Due to rising nickel and copper prices, the value of a nickel is almost 6 cents. Maybe I should start doing the same.
Me too. I keep all of the old paper money they save it for me at all the stores around town especially since any bill 1996 and back gets shredded automatically now by the Federal Reserve due to lack of security features. My brother stole my stash of silver coins to buy cigarettes about 40 years ago not realizing he could have gotten more at the coin shop. :-(
Currency related... I have also been seeing a lot of old paper money more than usual. Last time i saw that was when economey was approaching the "bubble". it was coming out of mattresses and converted to hard goods with fear of devaluation.
