Got the carbine out of lay a way & installed the front sight post and rear sight assembly .

Guessed at the front and rear sight " height " . Plan to start out adjusting the sights , at the range , starting out on paper at 25 yards ( using sand bags ) .

Once I get it zeroed , move it out to a greater distance .

Received the red / green dot reflex sight and installed it yesterday afternoon . The range I go to will not be open until Friday afternoon . I hope to zero the iron sights and the red / green dot , then .

The red / green dot sight is not visible in broad daylight ! :-(

Works fine with less bright light .

Removed it and tried to zero the irons . No so luck . Was shooting way left . Not enough right adjustment in the rear sight . Tilted the front sight way left & that got it fairly close to center of target . But looks really bad .

It has a clamp on compensator on it . Hope it is causing the problem ?

Last visit to the eye Dr. , I was told I need cataract surgery . :-( I suspected that would give me trouble with irons . Thus the reason I ordered the red / green dot .

Any suggestions for an economy sight that works in broad daylight ?

Thanks , :)
