SIG Sauer P320 self discharges

The Air Force today has arrested the dead airman’s coworker and charged him with manslaughter and making a false report. He apparently was goofing off with the P320 and accidentally killed his coworker and then blamed it on the gun as an accidental discharge.
I'm not seeing anything about that on any of the major news sites.

The dead body in the autopsy room pretty much says it's a real problem.
That tragic death says something - but you’ve leapt to a conclusion before all the facts are in.

For example

The Air Force today has arrested the dead airman’s coworker and charged him with manslaughter and making a false report. He apparently was goofing off with the P320 and accidentally killed his coworker and then blamed it on the gun as an accidental discharge.

That’s the problem I have with many of the “conclusions” in those videos and in this thread - the rush to judgement before all the facts are in.

I am seeing more gun ranges post rules online and at the range prohibiting the P320 from being brought onto their property. Banned. No sale, trade, carry, shooting, or repair work on the P320 is allowed.
Right or wrong, justified or not, this is going to kill this gun, and badly damage Sig in the process. I've been involved in shooting and going to ranges since 1963 when I was 11 years old. And I can't remember a time when a particular brand of weapon was actually banned from the premesis due to a safety concern.
