Shortest and Longest OCI you ever done?

The shortest ever was at about 1,000 miles when I drove through a severe sand and dust storm and did not want to take chances. That was with a 1978 Toyota Corolla.

The longest was 11,000 miles on Mobil 1 15W-50 Extended Performance with The Beast.

Shortest: 62 miles on Red Line 30WT race oil, 1995 Corvette ZR-1. To the race track and back and about 4 trips down the quarter mile.

Longest: 41K on my Golf TDI (UOA posted).

20 miles on dealer bulk and some cheapo filter when I bought my MX-5. Changed it immediately to Amsoil XL and a Wix filter. Gonna run it a year. Should put a little under 10k on it in a year.

Shortest was about 90 miles in my first Saab 9000T. I hydrolocked the motor and didn't realize it until a couple days later when I changed the oil (Mobil 1 5w30) and the piston crack opened up during a 115 mph run, and blew all that new oil out the dipstick tube.

Longest was with my parents' beater cars. They'd get so rusted that we stopped changing the oil about 2 years away from their anticipated death date. I think I went about 15,000 on Valvoline in the 84 Caravan, about the same on the 84 Accord. They died when the Caravan blew a HG (again!), and the Accord was so rusted that the bumper fell off and there was a hole under the back seat.

Changing the oil simply didn't matter.

117 miles on Red Line 5w20/5w30 blend when I was playing around with viscosities last year. I saved the blended oil and put it back in my car for a winter oil, along with a couple of quarts of Red Line 0w30.

18k on VPBC in my Cummins Dodge.

Longest was 10k in a BMW 530. Shortest maybe 200 miles after rebuilding 351 Windsor in 69 Mustang. Longest never did change the oil, 89 Lincoln Town Car, changed it once in 3 years, after owning it for about 6 months. After that I kept topping it up cause it used a quart every 500 miles or so. Not proud of this story but its true none the less.

Thanks for the stories and replies gents. I dont think I would go forever on one oil change, but hear some people do it and dont even think twice about goint 14k or longer on conventional.
