Shell RGT Question--Base Stock

Is the base oil in Shell RGT a gas to liquid oil like Platinum and PUP? Just curious.

I was told it has GTL in it. Is it full GTL? No one knows but Shell. I'm going to say no.

One thing I like about it is the higher flash point than PP. I picked several jugs up that wound up free after rebate, so I've got 5w20 in my 08 Jeep right now and 0w20 in my 18 Jeep. I'll do a UOA on the 2018 when this run is finished and I expect it to show very well.

I put it in my 4.3 Sonoma and now it thinks it's an 8100 Vortec.

According to the RGT Q&A, it has GTL in it (but it didn't say how much).

On paper it's one of the best out there according to PQIA. I would feel comfortable with a large supply of it.

That's why I bought it. Looks good on paper, BJs had it for about $2.16/qt, I bought everything they had on the shelf.

Nice! I´m looking forward to the UOA. I think I´m going to go ahead and run it through to the end on the OLM. It appears likely to be a stout oil.

When you enter Shell Rotella Gas Truck on Youtube you'll discover other Shell R.G.T. videos . Including U.O.A. for the R.G.T. 0w-20 from a Honda Civic . Did very well .

But I was using the stuff before the clearance...love the stuff. No complaints.

Well, no surprise. We all know PP is outstanding oil, so this was going to be at least as good, and maybe better. So, you can´t go wrong with it.
