Shelf Life of Two Cycle Oil

I have an unopened quart of Amsoil Saber Professional two cycle oil that is about six years old. Just got a new Husqvarna chainsaw, 50:1 and a bit concerned as to whether or not it has retained it's original quality.

My bet is Amsoil will tell you a 5 year shelf life. My opinion is the oil is fine. I've used TC oil a lot older than that without any problems. If the oil meets the mfg spec for the chainsaw I would shake it up and use it. JMO
