Seizing Lug Nuts = Worn Wheel Bearings?

Anti seize just prevents corrosion that causes the bolt to seize, has nothing to do with them flying off.

Start using anti-seize on the wheel stud threads; run the lug nuts down by hand with a nut driver before tightening; and all your problems will disappear.

I used to use ant-seize on my lug nuts years ago, not sure why I stopped.

Also, my first XJ was named Merkava

Yah I'm cheap, I use chassis lube to keep things easy. On the wheel /hub interface too. Dealing with stuck on alloy wheels is a PITA roadside. I have a rig that hasn't failed me yet. Jack up the wheel, find a 8'4x4. Set on stuff to aim it a lip of the rim and on the tire. Find 10lb sledge. Tee off with the hammer on the butt of the 4X4. Most times it take only 1 stroke.
