Sears Spectrum who makes it?

Im just curious who makes sears spectrum motor oil... In the 80's a lot of people used that oil and most agreed it was great oil..
If i remember correctly some people said it was made by Valvoline back then.
I still have an unopened can from the late 70's or early 80's

I thought he was talking about the filter LOL, anyway I didn't read his post that well as I saw "Sears Spectrum" and commented. I knew the OIL at one time it was Ashland (Valvoline).

If you guys want to see the can, I can post a couple of pics. I am going out the door for dinner. I will post a couple when I get back. I will list what is on the label as well. I think it is ashland but i am not sure.

WPP now, used to be Sunoco back in the day, I believe.

Chevron made it for at least the Rocky Mountain and Far Western states. Lived in many, all of the cases were labeled from Chevron.

I haven't seen a can of that now in 6 or 7 years all of our local Sears stores have all shuttered their doors.
