My mother bought this store brand cream cheese and used it once last week. She took it out to have some more and this what greeted her under the lid. It wasn’t do out at all. My mother takes two hours to food shop, because she looks at every expiration date on the products. I have never seen mold that looked like that before.

Hope you can take it back. That is waay too much mold for a non-expired product. I would surmise something back happened in either manufacture or delivery to store/warehouse.
