Great win for Ryan Blaney and Ford. Ford won all 3 NASCAR Championships this weekend!
I am glad Ryan did win the championship… I always liked his dad and wish Dave could have had more luck and success in Nascar. That one race in Atlanta Dave really should have won if not for bad luck late in that race That 93 Amoco car was very sharp looking.
I think this stupid “ playoffs “ format in Nascar is ridiculous. And needs to be put down and ended.
I didn’t necessarily mind the 10 race chase format that started in 2004. . But it has gotten to where it’s just made up hype.
A real points race like 1979, 1985, 1990, 1992, 1997… Was truly interesting.
And yeah I think when a guy like Dale Earnhardt wins 11 races in a 29 race season… I think he deserves to win the 1987 Nascar championship by almost 500 points. Or when Jeff Gordon won 13 races he deserved to win that championship in 1998.
I believe that Terry Labonte deserved to win in 1996 even though he only won 2 races compared to Gordon’s 10… Because he had a amazing finish in the last 16 races to that season with many top 5 runs and a crucial win at Charlotte late in that season.
