RP is only purple when new and for a very short time after poured into the engine. The purple is from dye that burns off very fast. After that it is the same color as most any other oil.

I thought maybe the problem you had was too much money and didn't know what to spend it on based on the thread topic.....

In all seriousness....you can purchase motor oil dye and add it if you really have an issue.

I get my RP from eBay. You can get a case of 12 for $87.95 shipped.

Centex Oil has 16 qts special for $84.95 shipped, the only catch is they come in four 1 gallon jugs instead of bottles.

That works out to $5.30/Qt.
