Just an FYI I heard a Royal Purple rep on a radio automotive show say Royal Purple will be debuting a High Mileage Automotive oil in both 10w30 & 5w30 at the SEMA show in Las Vegas.
I am sure AMSOIL will follow.

TOTO.

Yeah they're supposedly coming to store shelves by 1st of year..

But it'll probably be a gIII base and be priced as a GIV/GV. That's the problem I see with they're API formula.. Priced to high for what it is

Amsoil won't follow probably.. They're not a follower, they're a leader. Besides in a good clean engine Amsoil products are fine even on high mileage vehicles..

I agree AMSOIL is a leader but I believe they will consider what consumers demand look at the OE line years ago who whould have thought that would happen, the younger management is having more of an influence there and other competition such as Royal Purple will push them, why do they want customers to look else where, I have three more vehicles I would use it in instead of Pennzoil High Mileage and have considered dropping AMSIOL because why pay preferred customer fee for one vehicle but four vehicles is a different story.
In todays bisiness climate I do not see why AMSOIL would leave profit and sales on the table by not doing so.
TOTO.

Royal Purple HMX High Mileage Synthetic Motor Oil

Royal Purple's new HMX High Mileage Synthetic Motor Oil has been formulated with robust zinc/phosphorus anti-wear compounds combined with Synerlec propriety additive technology. This premium synthetic oil is chemically enhanced to revitalize hardened seals, reducing oil consumption common in high mileage engines. In addition, HMX is fortified with stout detergents to remove engine buildup and deposits, maintain cleanliness and promote engine longevity.

The advanced Synerlec technology in HMX provides exceptional film strength, reducing friction and metal to metal contact for peak engine performance. It also provides outstanding oxidation resistance to safely extend oil drain intervals, and an ionic attraction to metal surfaces, providing protection and minimizing engine wear during startup.

Features:
Recommended for gasoline engines with 75,000 miles or more.
Safely extends oil drain intervals up to 15,000 miles or 12 months on unmodified, mechanically sound engines with proper filtration.
Suitable for use in engines specifying API service SJ, SL, SM and SN.
Synerlec Technology for reduced friction and excellent durability.

Agreed. That's as good a High Mileage oil as any other I can imagine. It's not API certified, has enhanced ZDDP levels. Aside from advertising seal conditioners (I bet it has them already), what is HPS missing?

This new blend uses Synerlec, so I wonder whether its formulation is more like older RP street blends and less like Synpower?
IIRC, RP doesn't provide product data sheets, so I guess we'll have to wait for either a VOA or a used oil analysis to find out.

That`s what I`m wondering as well. When I did my used oil analysis on SJ rated Synerlec,it showed to have 118 moly and 1191 zinc.

Nice oil but I'll keep using Mobil 1 High Mileage because its easy to get and I have had good results with it... The 10W40HM makes my Jaguar XJS run very smooth.

So they provide a PDS for this high mileage formula?

They will prolly get one up after the official debut @ SEMA show.

It really isn't. Has been on their site right along. Was a little hard to find until the most recent site update but was there.

The High Mileage oil is new and not being sold yet. Not on their site yet anyway.
