just saw an add for this stuff in a four wheeler mag. Has it been out for awhile? "highly refined mineral oil, preferred for engine break-in, with advanced additives containing high levels of zinc and phosphorus" Has anyone tried it?

1 qt is part number 11487 at the local store if they have it. More than likely they will have to special order it. I called Royal Purple and the tech guy said that it was supposed to have about 1800ppm zinc. I ordered a case to try it out in a new flat tappet cammed motor I'm breaking in. We'll see soon. It would be nice to see some tests on the oil to see exactly what's in it.

New to the site. Plan on being here a while and asking lots of questions.

I would feel very comfortable useing Royal purples break in oil.
You might want to check out Redlines new motor additive.
you just add it to conventional oil for the break in.

either way, Royal purple is good stuff from my experience.
