Rotations not needed if tread wears evenly?

There is no need to obsess about tire rotations. Simply rotate every 6-10,000 miles. Note that visibly uneven wear does not necessarily imply that tires are not rotated enough. It could mean there is a problem with car's suspension.

mine go new on the front then to the back then junked...don't cut rotors either 151k and counting on the oems.

Checked my tread today and it reminded me of this thread that I started back in march. Other then an alignment I got in June I have not rotated nor balanced and my tread is 7-8/32 on all four corners at all measurement points. Bought the car January of 2011 and it got a rotation in August of '11. Other then that, nada.

Most rotating patterns (per owners manual) involve reversing the rotation direction of two of the tires. This allows for completely different wear patterns.

To have truly even wear is remarkable.
FWD cars have 66/34 weight distribution [around there].
Steering and braking are way different front and rear.
Different requirements is all cars have smaller brakes on the rear.
