RLI - 5w20 Awesome!

The comparison of RLI to Redline was that RLI did way better in my engine compared to Redline.

Redline is an excellent oil but RLI is much cheaper and it's made from a renewable resource (Canola Oil) and did a great job!

I dunno... $30/Gallon last time I bought it and that was a couple months ago.

I went to the RLI Homepage and got a price of $31.49 for a gallon which is 4 quarts.

The shipping was calculated to be $12.41, so my total for 4 quarts would be $43.90

That is almost $11.00 a quart. It comes out to $10.97 a quart.

I can get a 5 quart jug of Pennzoil Platinum with tax for $21.73, that comes out to $4.34 a quart

I do not think RLI is going to cut my wear numbers in half. JMO

Why not give the Ultra a shot since you already have it? I'm thinking it will perform well. 1.2% fuel isn't terrible, I would have run the oil longer.

What did you use in its place?

Because we get screwed on everything in Canada

it makes it a deal for us when Mobil 1 and Pennzoil Platinum are more expensive than this.

RLI's numbers in my application are impressive and I think I might use it as my main oil when I'm done testing Ultra and Toyota 0w20.

The price (and the patriotic thing, but that's a topic for another time) is one of the reasons I switched to Petro Canada synthetic. Buying it from a wholesaler, it is cheaper than any OTS synthetic and they have some PHENOMENAL products.

I hear you I'm just about trying different oils... Everytime I have tried all the ones I wanted to experiment with something new/different comes on the market and ends up in my garage!

So far my engine performs best with RLI so I might stick to it after all my testing because the cost is covered through Mileage...

So why not run the PU for a few OCI then UOA it,you may get similar results and spend less cash!
