Buy it all day long for that price. .270 WSM is a great cartridge, but is really a reloader's proposition.

buy it or pass the deal to someone who would appreciate the deal.
you could buy it and break it up and sell the part and pass any extra you make to your friend, he will appreciate you helping him out.

My son killed a lot of Deer with his .270 WSM . Far from an extinct cartridge .

Might be a bit tough finding brass for would be my guess.

I have a Remington 700 in 270 WSM. Ammo is a little pricey at around $2 a round so I reload. I haven't seen $25 a box for factory ammo and I have looked. In fact, with the ammo shortage right now, it looks to be mostly unavailable. I'm good on brass having picked up a few hundred well before the recent shortage.
Still working on barrel break in, so I'm not sure yet what kind of accuracy I'm going to get out of it. Bought it as a package with a low end Leupold 3x9 so I suspect it is underscoped.
If you don't reload, and decide it needs a home where it will be used, I know of a place.;-)
