Thus far seems like a really quiet motor oil.

As in, my truck over the years has seen MC 5w20, Kendall 10w30, Quaker State High Mileage SM (Slick 50 in add pack) 10w30, Quaker State High Mileage SN 10w30, Pennzoil High Mileage 5w30, Peak Blue Bottle 5w30, Peak Synthetic 5w20, Peak Synthetic 5w30, Valvoline 10w30 conventional, Valvoline MaxLife 10w30, Quaker State Conventional 5w20, and this has to take the cake.

I feel as my truck isnt as noisy while idling, though its not really noisy to begin with, but even lesser with the OE 0w20, But when I rev, the same amount of RPM's the truck feels like its liking the oil and really seems theres is more power. Idk, I may be full of it.

Also, usually my truck in this Florida 95+ Degree weather takes about 4-5 miles for the thermostat to settle in the middle, 2 miles down to the end of my road it was there.

I drove a total of 70 miles today all highway 65+ MPH, and the truck never dropped or went over the halfway mark on the thermometer on the way to the mall and back!

I am really liking this stuff, whether it be that its the Amsoil, or its the dropping to a 0w weight oil versus the 5w weight in there.
I know there are minimal differences withing the 0w-5w grades though.

Is Amsoil a different base stock than the SOPUS products? the Add packs of course are different.

No leaks, no burn, no drips. Oh and the New Purolator Synthetic filter is A+ in my book, a pretty looking filter and from what I can tell a very nice addition to anyones automobile.

I will get the UOA done once Ive reached 7500 miles, which by my math will be Feb of next year, thats IF I am in Florida at the time, as when I leave for Army BCT at the end of the year, I have 19 weeks gone...

Cheers!

Curious, how many miles is "thus far"? Sometimes I need to get at least 500 to 1000 miles on an OCI before I can really start to get a feel for how an oil is going to run in my vehicle.

I agree, the OE is an awesome oil. My used oil analysis show it performing excellent. I didn't notice any difference in noise level but my 07 Civic is always quiet so it's hard to compare.

I am using the OE and couldn't agree more it is fantastic oil plus i can get it cheaper than any on the shelf syn. Happy to hear it's doing a good job for you.
