I'm done, please lock this thread.

Just because everybody didnt go along with your GM bashing? Read any review online that compares cars and they all say the Cruze has more leg and headroom than the Focus and a bigger trunk. So if you fit in that car then you fit in both.

Don't take it the wrong way, but when you say that he fit in a Swift but not in a Cruze which has notably more hip room and shoulder room, and about the same legroom and headroom, then something just doesn't add up. Is it possible that you and your friend missed some seat and or steering wheel adjustment on the Cruze that affected your experience?

Now you are just acting immature. What we are saying is other people have driven and (gasp, OWNED EVEN) one, and noone has that experience. I HAVE ONE IN THE GARAGE. I can go sit in it right now, and actually be too far from the steering wheel and too low for my comfort, and I'm taller than you, and a little heavaier at the moment.. If it was the LT which it must ahve been, because it had the 1.4L, then it has a tilt and telescoping steering wheel. It has height adjustable seats. The seats also go back pretty far.

So either you missed the adjustments, which in a new car you aren't familiar with is certainly not impossible, or you are just GM bashing. And I am more inclined to feel it's the former. But your attitude is not helping your case at all.

I can't imagine ever owning a non-Wrangler domestic, but I drove a Cruze Eco(yes, I was bribed) with three pedals and I thought that it was a very pleasant drive. Light-centuries away from my cup of tea, but it certainly wasn't junk...

Thanks for showing your true colors. Your post reeked of bias from the start.

C'mon...really?

I have noticed that the new compacts (like the Cruze and Focus) are a big tighter up front around the dash area. This was a bit of a change for me as I am used to a more "open air" cabin like my Cobalt or Cavalier (or Corolla I get to drive) But after Adusting the seats and driving one for a while, it starts to grow on you some.

I think the Cruze hits home when you are used to much more space.......

I noted the tilt column...and also noted it does not go up enough. From my OP: " Even all the way up, the column is way too low."

Yeah, I hate GM so much that I own one! Check the first vehicle in the sig, dude!

Jarlaxle, your strong dislike for GM is well documented on this forum. Just because you own a nearly 40 year old GM vehicle doesn't give you immunity from people pointing out your obvious bias against the brand. Anyone who pays attention to the stuff you normally spew about GM can pick up on that.

If they didn't notice your past posts, this thread certainly sums it up well.

The Cruze can speak for itself. It sells well and members here get great service from the platform.

I would agree it is a small car. I long ago tired of slipping into my car like a tight shoe, some of us just don't enjoy that feel at all.

I'm not sure if that was a typo or not. Are you 5'6 or 6'6?

The seats can crank down a good 3-4". I know, I've cranked mine down to where I could not see over the dashboard. Great view of the sky, though!

The Cruze isn't perfect. What trim and transmission you get can and does influence what you think about the car. Any automatic Cruze will get worse fuel economy than an identical car with a manual. The LS or 1LT trims with 16" tires and non-sport suspension will be floaty and understeering. The 2LT, Eco, and LTZ trims with 17" or 18" tires and the firmer "sport" suspension will handle better, and ride firmer.

Likewise, I've seen many different people, including several people the size you describe, climb out of the front seats of the Cruze. It's not a particularly large car, but neither is it a tiny one.
