WM's here just started carrying a new range of filters, as we know. Puro classics are $4.88; 'regular' (not D+) Bosch filters are $7, and Puro synthetics are $11.97.

How good a filter are regular Bosch's? I know the D+'s are highly regarded here...just wondering what people thought/know about regular Bosch's...

TIA!

I used Bosch Premium in LS400 for full year 12-14k miles OCI without any problems. They are very similar to Purolator Pure1. The main difference is nitrate vs silicon ADBV.

I think Fram Ultra at $8.xx (in USA) is better value than Bosch at $7.

The Bosch Premium is a pretty good filter. My Wal-Mart doesn't carry them yet or I would have some on hand. I have cut a couple of them apart and they are very well made. They have a thicker media than just about every filter I have cut open besides the fram xg.

Are you sure about that? I've cut apart both P1 PL14610 and Bosch Premium 3323 and they were virtually identical minus the paint on the can and the label. The ADBVs were the same orange color and everything.

One the Bosch Premium, the o-rings are black nitrile while the ADB valves are orange silicone if it has one.

On the PureONE, both are orange silicone.

The general consensus is that they have the same filtering media.

Purolator makes them.

I currently have one each on the two vehicles in my signature. No complaints, but these are also the first two I have ever used (I've only done three oil changes). I'll let you know if either engine grenades.

The XG is 13.49 up here when not on sale and even then I don't think it gets down to $8. For us these are a pretty good deal.

Is the Premium efficiency rated the same as the P1?

The black Bosch filters is what I've been using the last 2 years or so. I like them and the price is fair.

I'm excited to hear that they are similar to P1's...we don't get them up here, and they seem to be a real favourite on here...
