hello guys,

i bought some Liqui Moly MOS2 additives.
But not yet tried.

anyone tried adding Liqui Moly MOS2 anti friction additive to GC 0W-30?

or

anyone knows any disturbing issues regarding mixing those two fluid?

I'm gonna use Mahle engine oil filter which is an OE replacement on my Volvo.

Plz advise.

Thanx.

So to speak, that's a already proven combination.

Great.

Thanx.

GC blended shouldnt have a substantial difference from any other oil it is blended in. The more viscous the parent fluid, the slower the settling rate will be.

Can you plz explain this in a little bit easy way?

The moly particles will not settle out of suspension as fast with a thicker oil.
But settling out is not a real problem with this product.
Maybe long term storage could show some.

I agree. I've used MoS2 multiple times, and it always shows up on the dipstick, whether I check the oil right after a drive or on a cold engine that has been sitting overnight. Even if it settles out a tiny bit... have you ever shaken a bottle of water with a little dirt in it? It gets cloudy immediately. Now imagine that to an even greater degree in a rapidly moving engine. It'll get re-mixed in within seconds.

Well I ran the calculations for particle settling based upon what we know about the product, and it WILL settle over days.

Of course it does not create a gelatinous mass AFAWK, because it is fully fluid coming from the bottle from LM.

So it may be a non-issue.

But the LM MoS2 may also be surface stabilized, allowing it to stay in solution indefinitely.

I dont believe that the 528 es would have flat tappet cams. Thus ZDDP reduction is of zero concern to begin with.

But for added protection, especially if the engine is higher mileage, I say why not?!?
