Response from Liqui Moly tech referencing Mos2 usage.

Ceratec or Mos2 stopped your leak; or did you mean Motor Oil Saver? I have heard some people had left oil leaks from mos2 but i wanted to see if you can confirm before i just assume. Thanks
Was going to start a new thread for this, but since it's already being discussed, I believe LiquiMoly MoS2 CAUSED some leaks for me in the past 6 months or so.

It's weird because I've used it on and off in multiple vehicles with no issues so maybe they've changed formulas recently, but I first noticed this when I put a little bit in my rear diff along with the correct Mobil 1 differential oil (2008 E320 Bluetec) which I had done in another w211 with no issues (identical except petrol vs diesel) and shortly after both my axle seals started leaking. Drained it, and changed with some fresh Mobil 1 diff oil and some stop leak (hate doing that but if I'm doing shaft seals I'm getting an LSD and I need to save up a bit for that) and the leak is all but gone now.

Then, I did an oil change in my lawn mower (Honda GXV190 engine) using a bit of the leftover oil I had from my car (Mobil Delvac 1 ESP 5w40 with MoS2 premixed in it) and now it's leaking oil out around the governor shaft. Never leaked before on either Toro oil or Rotella T6 (w/ no additives) which is what it used to get more than anything.

Lastly, I just got done replacing my A/C compressor in the same 2008 E320 because I thought it was leaking refrigerant oil, but I'm not entirely sure if it was because there was oil dripping from the new one shortly after I started it, and it was quite dark so I wonder if it's not coming from the oil filter housing. That's a fairly common leak spot on the OM642 but I thought it was worth mentioning. Pulled that oil out immediately, and went in with some fresh Mobil 1 Full Synthetic 0w-40 with NO ADDITIVES (I'm done with that game) so wish me luck that the leak stops.

You should use the MoS2 for gears for this application.
