Hey all
I have been reading a lot of good things on this site and finally registered as a user because I have question for you.

I have a new style S&S 93” shovel engine in my Harley and S&S recommends Mobil 1 V-Twin 20W-50 oil in those engines.
My problem is that, that oil is not available in Europe? I contacted Mobil regarding this and the answer was: It’s a company decision not to send this to the European marked??
I got no answer from the S&S tech line when I send them an email regarding this.

I can’t get Amsoil witch was my second choice either, but I can get Redline oil imported from Sweden.
My Q. is the Redline oil as good as the Mobil 1 or Amsoil?
I got about 6200 miles on the engine and use HD 360 20W-50 oil in it now changed every 2000 miles, I got a thermostat and a cooler on it too.
Will I get any benefits that ad up to the more expensive Redline oil??
HD360 is $11.6 and Redline is $22.5 here!!
In advance thanks, Johnny

Redline would be a good choice. If you can get Harley's synthetic (Syn3) at a Harley dealer, and at a cheaper price than Redline, that would be a good choice also.

Try the redline 20w50 over the Harley Syn3. I had lots of top end clatter with the syn3. I am using M-1Vtwin in my TC88 and it works well but I am switching to redline after 4000 miles.

Thanks for your reply.

Syn3 is out of the question I have heard brand new bikes sounding like an impact hammer with that oil and it destroys the transmission in no time if used there too.
So Redline oil isn’t bad at all??

Thanks, Johnny
