Both of my vehicles, 2015 Acura MDX, and a 2012 Honda Accord don't like redline. I start getting oil leaking past the rear main seal, so went back to M1 0 or 5/40. Problem stopped. I believe redline has too much ester in it. Redline used to be more group 4 than 5, they've seemed to switch to more group 5. I still use Redline ATF and gear oil with no issues.

Would be the other way around, PAO has a negative impact on seals, while POE (and other esters) condition/swell them (as do AN's). An oil with higher ester content would reduce the leaks, while one that's improperly balanced with a majority PAO base is more likely to cause shrinkage and leaking.
nothing techy but Redline works for me. changed all drivetrain lubes in my older but lo mile 30xxx 2011 fronty + gained about 3 mpgs, a lot considering i was averaging 16, engine lubes typical brand name 10-30 fake synthetics. my fun car a slightly modded 2001 TT 225Q with about 300 tq + hp gets redline 15-50 mostly in Pa weather + i see higher vacuum about 25 at idle on my autometer boost-vac gauge + it boosts to 25+, only 60 thou on it but a bit "loose" + the heavier redline oil reduced consumption as well. almost never driven in the winter + no starting issues ever + having only a 4.25 sump i feel it needs a better oil for a long happy life! my similar traded 2001 jetta 1.8T 275 hp + tq got real synthetics amsoil at first then redline after i was not sure of amsoils newer formulation they would never answer any questions about, for is 200 thou before trade + still running great with little consumption

I think he's saying he thought was too much ester which caused excessive seal swell.
Redline contains significant ester. Dave told me in the 40% range. I know oxidation figures can't tell you how much, but it does seem there is some correlation. Per the Russian oil club, multiple VOA's and YT channel out of Spain, Amsoil is in the 10-15% range with oxidation figures from 39-50, Mobil 1 0w40 - 5% with oxidation reading around 36, Mobil 1 5w30 -

I wouldn't expect that to cause leaks though... And if it did, it would be damaging to the seal, which wouldn't be reversed by going back to a different oil IMHO.

Contradicting that, we have their own SDS which showed majority PAO:
Mobil 1 0W-40 I would assume also has AN's in it, as Mobil tends to use more AN than POE because it doesn't present the same issue with surface competition.
I suspect we might be able to twist Dave at @High Performance Lubricants arm to get us oxidation with a PAO/POE blend at a specific percentage, which would help.

I remember seeing that. I asked Dave and I said specifically I know you can't reveal base oil percentages, but many are curious as to what you guys use being you claim you're an ester based oil and he replied "we use in the 40% range."

I've never been a fan of Blackstone oil analyses. I recommend you switch to Polaris.
