Just look at how people reacted to mRNA vaccines or human rights for trans people.
Synthetic oil is new and scary.
It is perfectly understandable that people don't trust it and you want something you are familiar with.
You laugh at this guy for not trusting synthetic, but when Mobil 1 says its oil is good for 20k miles you laugh at them and say no oil can last 20k miles and you need to change at 5k!
