I'm transplanting a Kohler Magnum into a tractor which origionally had no oil filter and the only one that will fit inside the frame rails is the Napa 7035 Its equivelant to the 28-052-01 Kohler filter. Are these any good? From the pics on napas site its so small it looks like it would have no media lol. Am I better off getting the Kohler filter or the Napa. The napa's case colors look differant from the normal size Kohler fitlers and larger. Just wondering if these are just knock offs or something.

Napa is a good filter.
The WIX 57035/NAPA 7035 is an excellent filter. For all we know, they may even make the OEM filter; Kohler, for sure, doesn't!!
If you're not averse to Fram, a PH8170 will work (it's about 2.25" long, same as the 5/7035).

This is a just under 3" 3/4-16 thread filter. There are lots of them out there. Lots of other filters you can use if you have the room ..longer ..fatter ..longer and fatter
