"one of the most famous cars in movies"

LOL, when I think of a movie car that's the one that comes to mind. The stock 47' ford from The Karate Kid. I don't even remember it from the movie.

The hyperbole in this article is over the top. If you are going to rate everything 9 or 10 why even have a scale of 1-10.

Guaranteed that thing is a beater garage queen that is the same mechanical condition as he received it in. "needs some engine work" = not running and if you read the part about him driving it when he got it, you can tell it was in such bad condition when he got it that it scared him and he parked it permanently.

Mechanics "dying to get their hands on it" LOL. Buddy thinks he has a piece of history.

Heh heh Funny thing. Down town, I saw a late model F ?50 PU It was white with red steelies and dog dish , maybe even baby moons. Got me thinking about a local guy 30 yrs ago with a 80s F150 black stepside. Red wheels with '48 Ford hub caps. Boss!

I’m guessing history to you is a early 2000’s Honda Civic.

There are movies where the car plays a large role. Two Lane Blacktop, Bullit, Christine, Mad Max, Vanishing Point, Smokey & The Bandit, etc. When you think of the movie, the first thing that comes to mind is the car. How valuable is the actual Bandit T/A? Last of the large displacement pony cars, and in a classic movie. Now that is a piece of history.

The Karate Kid is not one of those movies, the Bonzai trees play a larger role in the movie than that heap.

That article reads like a puff piece for a car that is going up for auction soon.

Speaking of famous movie cars, we saw a DeLorean on 93 in MA yesterday.
The DeLorean played a HUGE role in the "Back To The Future" series.

I knew someone who bought one. She had a dickens of a time keeping the body clean. Fingerprints would show very easily. Any dirt or debris was noticeable. Cleaning was done with special shampoo and cleaners.
