I read earlier about someone saying something about ancos and how the guy at the auto parts store gave him the same discount that he would have recived on rain x for ancos. Just to Inform you the person sold you on Ancos cause the company as a whole gets a better proffet off those blades. In west texas Ancos are NOT the way to go. I know this cause I see every vehicle made nearly and the only 2 brands that truly last minnimum of 1 year are rain x and Bosch. Thats on the regular types. Now manufacturers are making the winshield wiper arms with a wide slide bar and those types require the more flexble wiper blade and no brand is really a bad brand when purchasing these types. from experience and from my customers experience ancos last about a year and a half and rain x or bosch last about 2-3 years. about a 5 doller difference and you get longer use. The company I work for we place a 1 year warranty just to prove they work.

Had to break it down fragment by sentence by fragment, but here is my opinion: op is upset about ancos being inferior to bosch and rain x blades. Bosch and rain x blades last as long as anco. Im talking about the basic non contour, micro whatever blade. They all last the same. Anco i can buy from amazon for 5 bucks per blade with No rebate and free shipping with prime or 25$ total. The other two cost twice as much but dont give me twce as much longevity.

I am so lost. FWIW I usually replace the blades with OEM every year or so. Considering I work at a Ford dealer and have a Volvo dealer next door it is more convenient and cheaper to get OEM.
It often is cheaper at the dealer. My Fords over the years have had more Motorcraft blades than anything else. They were competitively priced. The worst part was, for the Town Car, nothing else would actually fit. The parts catalogs were all wrong, it seemed, except for Ford's own.
I myself am partial Bosch but don't think other brands necessarily last less time. Then again, I don't live in texas.
