Not for everyone I guess. Sitting in a hammock in my front yard. Absolutely peaceful. No harleys or sirens to be heard.
Watching baby quail run by. Ravens circling up above.
Have not seen any snakes this morning.

Can you shoot guns in your backyard without any consequences ?

Your photos reminds me of Clint Eastwood movies.

This is California so legally no.
What does that mean ? I know CA's laws on physical guns are quite restrictive, but know nothing about things related to using them on your own property. You're rural enough and I presume far enough from neighbors that no one really cares, I presume. If you were plinking and a sheriff or someone drove by close enough to hear, would they investigate or ignore it ?

Fire pit area in winter
What is "winter" in your area, i.e. temperatures ?

Legally I can't have a gun outside my house, anywhere on my property unless it's in a locked box.
I can't open carry even on my property.

My neighbor's are not THAT far away and I imagine if I called them and told/ invited them over I could get away with plinking. As I said I allegedly may have a shooting gallery on my property.

Winter can get into the 20's(F). Pretty uncommon to get any colder than that. About 20 years ago it got down to 6F and we had several pipes break from that.

Once the sun comes out the days will warm up to 45-50F
