Quick Dex VI Question

Haven't had to buy any in a while. Now time to buy several cases.

We were using the original Petro-Canada/GM stuff, which has worked fine.

My recollection is the magic is in the add pack and most of it was G-III base oil. Don't know if that has changed any.

Is this now a generic product confined to spec, or do any currently rise above the field?

AFIK, all are about the same. Meet the GM specs. Dex VI is a semi-syn. Valvoline's version claims to be 100% synthetic at not much difference in price. That's what I went with.
