In the late 70's, I remember the old timers claiming it was fantastic oil. Maybe becouse it was a multi blend?

LOL! with a fairly short OCI, mostly gp I oil base and mostly into API SB/SC grade, I can only imagine that back in those days, anything "goes".
With so many extremely well-blended, excellent motor oils with API certification of SL/SM or ILSAC GF4, I would consider those "q-State deluxe" to be "old stuff" and not even worth considering.
Also: do not even consider using this bottle of oil in your modern engine. Consider donating it to the Smithsonians instead.

If I remember correctly, their was two, deluxe and superblend. Maybe the superblend was multi grade?
I don't know if I'd use it to lubricate door hinges.

My folks used QS Deluxe in some of the cars, mostly Buicks, when Kendall Oil wasn't available. Always used Pennsylvania Oils, this was in the 50's and 60's. In 10w30 and 10w40 wts. Kendall GT-1, was my favorite. "Big Daddy" Don Garlits had something to do with it!
As far as quality goes it was good oil! It kept the engines of those big buicks clean. I replaced the AC fuel pump on one of the old Buick's with over 100000 mi. and the inside and the lifter finger were clean, no sludge.

I just read Tom NJ's post in this thread POUR POINTS regarding Pour Points versus CCS and MRV, he stated that Quaker State had a problem in 1981 with the "Sioux Falls Cycle", did a Google Search and up popped this news article from 7 Jan 1981: Sioux Falls & Quaker State DeLuxe and Super Blend

That would be a scary thought if that happened with today's oil.
If I can recall correctly, DeLuxe was 10w40 and Super Blend was 10w30. I remember them still using those trademarks in the early '90s.

Recalls have happended with 'todays' oils.
API randomly tests oils and some state agencies will randomly test oils. There have been a bunch of oils recalled for not meeting the bottle label specs.

Why bother telling us if they won't diclose which oil companys were the culprit?
Deluxe was QS's 10 w 40 blend. Used it for many years with great results on all my vehicles from South Carolina to Iowa ( moved a few times over the years). Never had any oil related problems. Most recently used it exclusively on my 1991 Subaru....bought new and sold in 2005 with 300,000 miles....never opened the engine once and used no oil between 3000 mile changes.
I didn't know they still made that stuff in the 90's
