QS Q Advanced syn. - Your opinion.

I found at O'Reilly's 6 qts. of Q Advanced 5w-30 free after rebate. What do you think of this stuff?

For free? Buy it. I place it under PP but still a darn good syn.

It tested last in a couple of catagories in this oil test http://www.amsoil.com/products/atm_testing/index_flash.aspx comparison and faired fairly well in a few others. Probably fine for OEM recommended oil change intervals if it meets OEM requirements listed in your owners manual.

Can't beat the price! $0!

I've never seen that oil comparison. It looks as though PP being a great value is confirmed by the comparison.

We grabbed 10 qts amongst myself and another.. free is good

I use PP. I got this for free...also QS Truck and SUV, Mobil Clean 5000, Valvoline SynBlend or something or another, all free with rebate. Come on, it was free! I'm going to use all of them, one brand at a time, in one of my Subaru's. The other will get a steady diet of the PP I've stashed (at 1.99 a quart average cost). Both engines will probably outlive their transmissions.

Not liking an oil just because of the name seems absurd.

I suppose it is, but that's the way I feel about it. And being that there's such a vast assortment of brand names to choose from, I can afford to be absurd.

Free synthetic (GIII even) is the best kind! Buy 3x 6qts and use relative's addresses for the other rebates.
