Yesterday I gave the ride a healthy infusion of PYB SN w/ NAPA\Wix filter. I downgraded\upgraded from QSUD SM 5w-20. I think she likes the PYB just a little bit more than the QSUD. The motor was a bit quieter. At $15 I think I'll stock up on this and save some cash compared to $19-$26 for "synthetics." PYB is the only SN I've seen on a regular basis at my nearby Wally World. Its gonna take forever for synthetic SNs to show up consistently.

I guess they're compensating for the Moly and API SN costs. I wonder how a conventional SN like PYB compares to synthetic SMs.

Fresh oil....Placebo...do you think?

Thought about tring Mobil Super 5000. One member told me he will never use PYB due to all the rumors even if they are not true. Another told me Castrol GTX doesn't provide good wear protection. And yet another told me that Valvoline is skimpy and would NEVER even consider using it. LOL...

I think it's the few comments like these and one of the reasons that keep people asking the X vs Y qusetion.

Now I wonder what is wrong with Mobil Super 5000?

Placebo is always possible. Other users have described changing the oil as therapeutic for both you and the car.

I will never buy Valvoline EVAR because of their high price point and 0ppm of moly. Just a rip all around in my book. Dont know how SN looks though.
