PDR should take care of it nicely. Many times the tech will then polish out any remaining scratches.

PDR got out a really bad crease out in the passenger door of a friend's dark blue Accord. Never thought it could have been done but it looked perfect afterwards. The guy even polished the area afterwards. I had pics of the work but they were on photobucket.
I sympathize with you. I had this happen, but never identified the suspect. Get a copy of the police report. You will have good INTEL in the report etc.

My brother accidentally dinged a Ford Mustang convertible in a hotel parking lot. Brother had a rental car at the time so wasn't being as careful as he usually is I guess. The Mustang driver was on the other side of it and came over to yell at my brother. The Mustang was a rental car as well but the driver still wasn't happy over it. He's the book smart type and sometimes aloof. But is smart with a great job and well educated.
UPDATE: Apparently the guy that did the damage to my car, does not own the truck. It's his father-in-laws truck. Father-in-law VERY upset.

I have seen truck drivers go to EXTREME measures to back into a spot, when just driving in forward would have taken much less time and effort.
Is it a "I wanna be a real trucker" syndrome, or something more sinister, more compelling?
For example........
"I have brighter lights than you"
"My diesel resonator is loud so you will look at me when I drive by"
"My hand/eye coordination is so good I can drive mere inches from your rear bumper at over 70mph (112 kmh)"
