Here is a Pure One purchased from Amazon

Called the customer service number and was told anything purchased thru Amazon would need to be handled by contacting Amazon

Couldn't even get them to check the date codes for known issues in this production run of filters

My last question to the Indian woman was.....
So your telling me I have a clear visual defect with this filter and you absolutely do not care? We all already know her pre determined response

I think I may send it to 53Stude or one of the prevalent C&P guys ......

This literally the first Purolator I have purchased in my 48 trips around the sun

Always a AC delco (PF66 in this case)

Was planning on going with the new gold cans when wally gets fully stocked up but now..........

The gasket/seal is uneven (10 to 12 o'clock position)?
Yes it looks like the ADBV is pinched in the crimp and opposite side of thst the end cap or something appears to be out of alignment and will make contact with the Threads on the engine

Looking straight down at the baseplate the depth varies by quite a bit so much so this is what made me take a closer look 😳

It needs a proper C&P

I'm sure you may know, just spreading information that others may not know. The ac Delco PF66 is no longer available unless you find new old stock somewhere. It was made by champion labs and was part of the closure with first brands (champion oil filters, fram, rayobestos, and a number of other brands!)

The PF66a may be available I'd guess or imagine. I had to switch to pf63A for all the duramax and gm gas engines we work on. There is a nice thread comparing the PF63 to the PF63a on bitog

Yes Sir I was trying to decide on a filter while the AC delco situation gets handled and will go back to them most likely no matter who ends up making them

Why aren't we hearing from 53Stude anymore?

53Stude' is no longer a member here. I have no idea what happened. I had a good rapport with him and I think he brought a lot of value to the forums.
Hope he is doing well ......as for what happened inquiring minds want to know

He was one of the easy to get along with guys here maybe his cringe muscles wore thin and he gave it a break

Why not go with the any of the various 10K mile rated extended filters made by PGI? Tons of threads about them with lots of C&Ps.
