Particle Count Database

Can you post the actual particle count data they show in the UOA that has the raw ISO 4406 particle count data?

I did this exercise awhile ago by looking at Blackstone used oil analysis posted on BITOG that also had ISO 4406 data , and found no real correlation between Blackstone's "Insolubles %" and the ISO 4406 particle count data. Some of the used oil analysis that had higher Insolubles % had lower particle counts, and also used oil analysis with the same ISO code had a difference of 3x in Insolubles %, so I wouldn't go by any Insolubles % data as an indication of oil cleanliness. The actual ISO 4406 data is what needs to be compared.

I think for Blackstone to conclude how much an oil filter was loaded by trying to correlate it to Insolubles % is really reaching.
There was none. It just said "dirty".
If you say there's no correlation that's good enough for me.
I'm thinking if I'm going to do a particle count, do the home microscope test first then if I don't really see anything, then do a particle count.
My next particle count test will probably be reclaim oil ran though a used wix nano particle fuel filter.

You said it was a Royal Purple. Did you cut it open and inspect the leaf spring to end cap fit for any leak gaps?
Yeah it had impressive crud in the bottom.
