Purolater Boss pbl14610 quality issue

Proulater boss pbl14610 should return or exchange Quality issues. There is extra paint on filter area .return or exchange or keep it it will be fine.

I've dealt with this before on the old yellow PureOnes. What I did was remove the base gasket, then spray some carburetor cleaner on a cloth and clean the paint over spray off the base, and clean up the gasket groove. Then pop the base gasket back in the groove. Also clean up the threads while at it. Ready to rock.

Nah, It's just paint,. It will not go anywhere unless you scrape it off

as stated it's not an issue. I'd run them. Now if there was like layers of paint then it would be an issue but this is very light over spray here.

It likely won't come off, but if it does, it will get caught in the filter and not cause any problems.

OMG. Just oil the gasket, fill the filter and tighten!
