I think CA drivers are actually OK, except:
Speed limit are minimum speed limit, you better be 15mph above it at all time all weather.
If you are keeping 3 car spaces in front of you regardless of speed, you are driving too slow
Stay within 3 car spaces at 85mph for maximum safety from speeding tickets.
It is ok to cheat and use the carpool lane if you don't leave enough room for the police to cut behind you and give you a tickets, so you should cut in front of a pack of 3 cars and cheat to use the car pool lane.
