Hello guys,
I have a 2012 Honda Accord with the VCM V6 and 5 speed tranny. I bought it new and it has exactly 60,000 trouble free miles on it. I have noticed recently that the car has developed a slight vibration while driving between 25 and 45 MPH. It appears to be directly tied to the gas pedal. if I'm just coasting and not applying the gas pedal at all, it is nice and smooth. As soon as I apply a tiny bit of pressure on the gas pedal(like 1/8" of depression) I can feel a slight vibration in the whole car especially the steering wheel and seat and I can also hear it. It sounds like the engine increases power and growls a tiny bit and is a vibration sound that is not normally there. I feel it mostly right around the 35mph mark.
If I accelerate fast or press the gas harder it does not happen. Only happens when being extremely light on the gas and adding enough power to barley increase the cars speed. It is not consistent at all and some times will not do this. If is does not do this, the cars is super smooth and quiet like normal. Because of this inconsistency I'm fearing something is wrong. All shifting seems smooth and strong otherwise. I have performed transmission drain and fills at the 15K, 30K, 45k and just now at the 60K mile marks all using the correct Honda ATF. The fluid is super clean and always has been.
Any ideas what this might be? I'm afraid to take it to the dealer because it is so slight they will probably say nothing is wrong. I can definitely tell something is up but it is very slight and not sure what might be going on? Thanks for any advice!
