PRO TEC 180 CUT OPEN, 8,500 MILES

Here we have a wiz made pro tec#180 filter off a 11' Altima. Had QSED 10w30 in it for 8,500 miles. Enjoy pics and pretty good WIX quality if I do say myself

Very small media, but looks good nonetheless. If my Jeep wasnt so picky, I would give these a shot. Cant beat even the lowest tiered WIX.

You realize the Wix web site recommends ProTec filters for 3,000 mile intervals?

I use www.oscaroparts.com for Wix oil filters that fit my Subaru.

You're an optimist and see the glass half full in any case I would say. Which is a good thing. For me I will spend $3 more per year and get the better ones. That's about the cost of 1.2 gals of gas around here.

On the Rock Auto site they list Two Proto filters for my application (22R Toyota PU, ph 3614 filter)

They offer a Proto 104 and a Proto 130.

Does anybody know what the differance might be?
I'm hopeing one might offer more filter area than the other.
